Moana, the first Polynesian Disney princess movie opens on November 23



Moana is the upcoming Disney movie about a Polynesian princess, is scheduled for release on November 23 in 3D.

From director Ron Clements and John Musker and screenplay by  Ron Clements and John Musker, Moana is the 56th animated feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios

Moana is a 3D computer-animated fantasy musical comedy which features the voice talents of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as moana-disneyMaui, the legendary demigod who will join Moana on her journey and Nicole Scherzinger also rendered her voice talent as Sina Waialiki, Moana’s mother. The film introduces Auli’i Cravalho as Moana Waialiki, the high-spirited sixteen-year-old who sets sail to an island in search of the almighty demigod to help save her family from annihilation.

Moana Waialiki is the high-spirited sixteen year old daughter of the overprotective Chief Tui Waialiki of Motunui Island, a mystic island in Polynesia. When Moana’s family needed help, she sets her journey, being scion to a long line of navigators, to get help that includes looking for demi-gods and spirits taken from real mythology until she met the legendary Maui.
